SNP Prices

Here we have compiled a set of price approximations that should give an indication of the actual price level for the services offered by CIGENE.

All our SNP reactions are run in 384 formats, which would be (376 samples + blanks) controls for the MassARRAY setup and 352 samples + blanks/ controls for the SNPlex setup. All prices are then based on running full 384 well plates. Due to the fact that the number of SNPs and the number of individuals may vary, all prices are only approximations but they are within the correct price range.

All prices include 25% VAT.

Genotyping, using the MassARRAY technology (Sequenom):

Probe/ Assay Costs: Approx. 200 NOK pr. assay/5000 samples.
1-plex (cost pr. genotype): Approx. 10 NOK
4-plex (cost pr. genotype): Approx. 4 NOK
8-plex (cost pr. genotype): Approx. 2.5 NOK
12-plex (cost pr. genotype) : < 2 NOK
25-29 plex (cost pr. genotype): < 1 NOK

Genotyping, using the SNPlex technology (Applied Biosystems):
Experimental design: Call us - Mostly on a collaboration basis.
Assay Design: Performed by Applied Biosystems.
Probe/Assay Costs: Approx. 30.000 NOK for 48 probes/ 5000 samples
48 plex (cost pr. genotype): Approx. 1 NOK

SNP detection –Includes PCR, Taq, cleanups, BigDye, robot tips etc.:
Experimental design: Call us - Mostly on a collaboration basis.
Assay Design: Free of charge

Microsatellites - Only run of finished products (mostly internal users):
Assay Costs: Prices from Applied Biosystems, approx. 650 NOK pr.microsat.
Small Scale, single samples: Approx. 15 NOK/lane.
