Through interactions with our current SNP platform users, we have realised that there is an increasing need to extend our SNP services to also include assistance with analysis of the sometimes huge amounts of data that result from the SNP genotyping.
In 2003 CIGENE engaged the Norwegian Computing Center (NCC) to write the report "Experimental design and statistical analysis of SNP data obtained in genetic association studies". The work with this report has given NCC the necessary experience with the biology involved to make full use of their considerable competence on the various aspects of data analysis of SNP data to assist CIGENE and its collaborators with complicated data analyses.
