PLS07 Symposium: Causalities explored by indirect observations
PLS07 Symposium: Causalities explored by indirect observations
The purpose of the symposium is to bring together scientists from different fields to discuss how complex systems can be explored by multivariate Partial Least Squares (PLS) and related data modelling methods.
The main aims of this PLS symposium are:
- To focus on how causalities can be studied in complex systems by letting multivariate data and prior knowledge supplement each other.
- To improve the communication and co-operation between persons interested in the scientific principles, methods and applications of data modelling in complex systems.
- To serve as an interdisciplinary meeting to disseminate scientific knowledge in the field of PLS data modelling.
- To merge the different PLS methods from the main PLS cultures, and combine these with other tools, such as mutual causality, temporal dynamics etc.
The symposium will be hosted by MATFORSK and CIGENE in collaboration with the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB), the University of Oslo and the Centre for Biospectroscopy and Data Modelling. For more details, see the PLS website.
