Present position: PhD student (Norwegian University of Life Sciences, UMB, and Centre for Integrative Genetics, CIGENE).

Degrees: M.Sc. in Molecular Biology at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, UMB, 2006.

Professional background: PhD student at the Department of Animal Science, UMB (2006-).

Research experience: SNP detection, genotyping and linkage mapping, including mapping of candidate genes for mastitis susceptibility in cattle. Now working on resolving duplicated regions in Atlantic salmon, aiming to identify, map and investigate gene expression patterns of duplicated regions in the salmon genome.

Experience in R&D management: Member of the board of the “Research school in Genetics”, UMB, (2007-).
