Present position: Researcher at IHA/CIGENE.
Degrees: Dr. scient. in applied statistics UMB (former NLH) 2002
Professional background: Ph.D student, MATFORSK 1998-2002. Researcher/Teacher MATFORSK/UMB 2003, post.doc/researcher MATFORSK/UMB 2003-.
Research experience: Process optimization, applications and development of fuzzy clustering methods, experimental design, analysis of microarray experiments, analysis of MassARRAY gene expression data, FTIR, chemometrics, multiblock analysis.
Prizes and awards: Received the Kowalski Prize in Chemometrics 2004.
Current research activity:
-
Analyse gene expression data (microarray, massarray and to some degree digital gene expression using high throughout sequencing), in ongoing projects. At the moment the major activity is related to identifying differentially expressed genes in Salmon with different file colours.
- Further development of robust fuzzy clustering methodology, more specifically to be able to identify clusters with very different size and shapes, and for highly multivariate data, to identify which variables are important for possible group structures.
