Tor Flå, professor in Applied Mathematics at the University of Tromsø, will be spending some days with CIGENE as a visiting researcher, and will give a talk on biomolecular sequences and mutation processes.

In his talk, Prof. Flå will present some results with regard to approximate statistical phylogenetic theory of protein sequences and relate it to clustering of mean field variables of protein sequences. He will then discuss the relation of neutral mutational processes to stochastic game theory. Finally, he will present an outlook of different prospective applications in mutational processes of biosequences and regulatory elements.
