An international consortium has recently been established in which CIGENE plays a major role.
The Consortium for Genomics Research on All Salmonids Project (cGRASP) brings together experts from Canada, Norway, the US and the UK. cGRASP is committed to becoming the international body for organizing and coordinating a whole genome sequencing project for Atlantic salmon that can also be extensively exploited by the rest of the salmonid community. The main bulk of the research will be carried out in Canada and at CIGENE.
